Stylenanda Wish List

As soon as I knew Stylenanda was finally on Zalora's K-fashion brands section, I just couldn't contain my excitement and I felt like I had to share it right away! I mean it's hard to find such stylish yet comfortable clothing these days. Understated is the word that comes to my mind whenever I peek through Stylenanda's lookbook. I love how they carefully choose the pairing which makes all of their models look so effortlessly polished. Well, I think these picks aren't just another wish list, it's more like an inspiration for those who love Korean street fashion.

Pleats Sleeve Sweatshirt // Sweater Dress // Paneled Sleeve Darted Dress

If you want to wear a shorter skirt, balance it out with a loose sweatshirt that can keep your body warm and match it with autumnal shades, like burgundy and navy. This first outfit will work perfectly well together for those days when you’re just as indecisive as the weather, whereas the second one would be perfect for those days when you want to feel much cozier in oversized sweater. Honestly though, oversized statement sweaters are tricky to pull off in transitional weather, because it may look awkward to wear a sweater when the time hasn't even arrived yet. As a consequence, you've got to make it work with airy bottoms in feathery material. Such rose pink skirt as opposed to black would make it work seamlessly. The last outfit really got me fall in love the second I laid my eyes on it! The figure-flattering dress showcases such a feminine flair yet the choice of fabric evokes a cozy and playful mood. I also think it's smart how they pair the loafers with mid calf socks for a little added warmth.

It's no secret I have a lot of oversized clothes in my closet as my personal style is all about being relaxed. Another similar character from all of these pieces aside from its oversized feature is the cool tones that are super versatile to be mixed and matched during this stage of transitioning into cooler weather. Styling 101: Pleats

The first time I encountered pleats was back in 2014 when I was modelling for a local brand's collection. Though my first impression of the fabric wasn't all that enjoyable due to the humid weather in Jakarta, I had a glimpse idea of how appealing and cosy it would be to wear pleats in cooler temperature.

You know you just couldn't skip Issey Miyake when taking pleats into account, could you? And I've been adoring shades of blue lately. I mean, these shades make color mixing seems so easy, not to mention they complement my skin tone. Here's a proof: see my previous post's selfie. In addition, the lace-up trend appears to dominate the entire season. I've noticed it doesn't only look surprisingly hip on clothes, but also on shoes and sandals.

FINISH & CARE

The natural purpleheart wood is hand finished and pretreated with tung oils. The Cora is splash-proof but should not be submerged in water (3 ATM). Lemon or orange oil extract is best for cleaning the natural wood. When storing this timepiece, avoid extremely hot, cold, and excessively dry/humid environments.

COLOR & APPEARANCE

Purpleheart wood is sourced from the Solomon Islands. The wood has a naturally rich purple color. The grain pattern is generally fine and has very straight lines. Although difficult to cut at high speeds, when worked correctly, a beautiful and long lasting finish is created.

FYI, Cora is the only timepiece that uses purpleheart wood, not to mention the screw down crown are built for the automatic pieces only. You might have seen me wearing this watch on my Instagram or if you have seen me in person, maybe? :P

Another thing that I like from this timepiece is that the deployment buckle or also known as butterfly clasp, it just completes the aesthetic aspect of this watch. The watch is lightweight with smooth finishing and comfortable to wear in Jakarta's hot weather all day long. Oh, I actually have this story, it happened on the first time I received the packaging, I was confused btw how to set the time with the screw down crown so I had to ask their representative via their chic website and by seconds, he solved my trouble, the instruction was very clear and therefore, I encourage you to ask them if you find any issue with your watch. Wooden Watches Men

Wednspiration #1

Hello my dear bumblebees! I would like to introduce you to the first post of Wednspiration. It's basically a combination of Wednesday + Inspiration. This Wednesday special post will contain inspiration sets related to fashion and beauty or just anything created by me.

The first set I wanted to share is about fashion, I am not into fashion to be honest, I only wear comfy casual outfit daily. I don't really have many pattern outfits, most of my outfits are basics, and most of them are black, gray and white haha! That explains why I always have a hard time finding my black outfit. I have so many of them, I once piled all the blacks I have on the floor and I literally have a mountain of them! Some people would probably say black is boring, but it's never for me, when you mix black with bright color, it definitely never be boring but instead, it looks classy and you'll have tons of different ways to make one black outfit to be wearable on different occasions. I'm just the type of person who loves building on the basics :) Then again, I'm not a stylish person, that opinion is just what I plant in my mind.

The Summer vibe is still in here! Bright pink is a color for Summer season. So here's my outfit inspiration for this Wednesday:

Her Body Elegance

2. Fit, fit, fit! What's more important than wearing something that's comfortable. I suggest not to force sizes. Choose lingerie that will flatter your body size. If it feels uncomfortable, it'll look uncomfortable, too.
3. Lace details. Nothing beats the classics! You can't go wrong with a little lace on your lingerie. Lace can look so cute when it comes to top or shorts, but as in an undergarment, it definitely looks 'seductive'!
