[Disclosure: This is a sponsored post. I received the product for a review purpose, but the opinions are my own based on my experience.]

Directions: When you spray to your skin directly, spray about 30cm distances and then softly pat your face to help your skin to absorb the product. You can use your palm or cotton pad.
Further information about ingredients and warning.
If you haven't already read my review on the other Benton Honest skincare, you might probably wonder why I use Benton as I was reluctant about the brand before. Anyway, I've been quite interested in this product as I need something that can moisturize my skin without making it oily. Talk about balance! Especially when my skin is a bit oily on the T-zone.
This Honest TT Mist actually claims that it can benefit all skin type, such as problematic skin, dry/ oily skin, and even sensitive skin. With tea tree plant as the main ingredient, we all know how great the healing power tea tree has, which makes it a popular natural acne treatment ingredient. I personally had a bad experience using tea tree oil back then in junior school, my hormonal acne became even worse after religiously applying tea tree oil from The Body Shop to my affected skin. That what made me think twice to try this, but a girl gotta do what a girl gotta do. Skincare is all about trial and error!

The spray nozzle.
Packaging wise, I like the fact it doesn't come in a can bottle and the small size is perfect for traveling. The water that comes from the nozzle supposed to be fine mist, but in real life, it's a bit too harsh. I mean if you compare it to Avène Eau Thermale Spring Water, that's how a fine mist should've appeared. They claim about 250 times sprays usage. I've been using this product since January every day and night, and do around 5 sprays each usage, now it still have maybe like 8ml left on the tube.
Scent wise, it has no scent! How surprising. I was expecting something herbal but there's none and I seriously love it. Imagine how weird it would be to spray something scented to your face! Well, I do smell something a very tiny bit that I can't even explain what it is, but I'm sure it's nothing like perfume. Which in the end, makes me really believe there's no added fragrance in this product.
Performance wise, the texture is like water, and I spray it directly to my face, then pat it with my palms. I use it as my secondary toner, my current primary toner is from The Face Shop Jeju Volcanic Lava (which is a nice product, however I'm not going to repurchase). The mist feels soothing on skin and also hydrating at the same time, another great thing is, it keeps my acne at bay *greatest feeling ever* ^^
All in all, although the spray packaging kind of disappoints me, the product works like wonder. I'm absolutely going to repurchase it, because mine is going to run out soon! You can get yours at Jolse.
Price: USD 8.48

I have a dermalogica product that sprays onto the face and whilst I love the product itself, I don't like the feeling of spraying something onto my face. Like you say though - we have to do what we have to do to care for our skin!
ReplyDeleteInteresting post! Cute product although it's a shame that the spray function isn't working properly.

It's too bad the actual spray isn't that impressive but at least the product itself works well. I love using facial sprays to refresh my skin during the day.
ReplyDeleteEven the spray is bad, the price makes the product so worth it! I love inexpensive products that helps out skin to feel fresh again haha <3 <3

I've never seen this before and I've also never tried a face mist! It sounds so refreshing to spray on. That's so good that it has tea tree in it too, I really want to give it a go!

I love the fact that this water mist contains tea tree and hyaluronic acid which are two of my favorite ingredients. I've always been crazy about beauty products that contain both of those two ingredients.
ReplyDeleteAnd about the packaging wise, I personally think that the spray would not go along with the tube which will reverse to functional problem in the end. That is actually why many products that come with a spray will be in the form of bottles instead of tubes. Although it looks cute and practical with a spray in the tube but in the end we just want a product that functions perfectly.
Anyway, great review dear! Love the way you honestly reviewed the positive and negative side of the products even though it's a sponsored product. Keep up the good work!
Love your blog!

I need some tea tree in my life! Thanks for sharing - will definitely be looking this up. x

I feel the same way about The Body Shops tea tree spray. It has lovely ingredients, but the mist is just too harsh to really enjoy the process.

This looks like a lovely product. I used a facial spray until I found out it dehydrates your skin more

I've been meaning to invest more in Tea Tree products just because some of the items I've used with the ingredient has helped with my acne tremendously. Tea Tree water sounds like a fantastic secondary toner to take around! Thank you for sharing! x

The packaging had me fooled! I initially thought it was a cream - not a mist XD
ReplyDeletehmmm maybe they might have the product in a toner form? hehe that way you won't have to spray it in bursts! ^^

I have such dry skin, I never thought of using products with tea tree oil since they are typically positioned as being for people with acne or with oily skin. I'm not a fan of sprays either because I have this strange phobia about spraying myself in the face, but it does sound handy and cooling for summer. But you shouldn't have to pat in a spray, it just dries on your skin
ReplyDeleteThat spray nozzle is so convenient! Maybe I'll have to check this out.
ReplyDeleteThe spray dispenser sounds really nice and refreshing for hot days! I wonder why this one is okay on your skin but the TBS tea tree oil was so bad?
ReplyDeleteI'm still wondering too why because after that one, up until now I haven't had any tea tree oil treatment. I think I should give it a try another time :)
DeleteThis product seems to be great! Need Tod check it out!

Is this similar to tea tree oil? I'd love to try it if it is. Thank you for the lovely comment on my blog.

I think it's different with tea tree oil as the it's a water based and can be used as a toner :)
DeleteThanks Mitch for clarifying :) So am assuming it's still tea tree extract but just water-based, right?
DeleteYup ^^
DeleteThis is such a great detailed review! I know what you mean about 'mists' that are more like harsh sprays, it's such a shame when they're like that because it can be kinda off putting ._.

I never tried facial spray before, and this post has encouraged me to! I just wonder if there is any local brand (Indonesia), because currently I am in a tight budget... Anyway, thank you for sharing!

Errrr, I am not sure if we have something similar to this locally, especially in tea tree or anti-acne ingredients :(
