Etude House Sweet Recipe Baby Choux Base

As I get my facial routine once in a month, it leaves redness on my skin. Usually, I'd just stay at home for three days because the redness is scary. Sometimes even after three days, the redness won't get away that easy, and neither CC cream nor BB cream can perfectly cover them.

It's like a pastel green colored that when it's blended perfectly, it'll cover the redness on your skin.
Not to mention, the SPF 25 PA++. What a bonus!

How I use it: After applying toner and emulsion to my skin. I apply this Baby Choux Base, blend it properly and follow it with a CC or BB cream.

FYI, this is actually the new packaging of Baby Choux Base, the old version came in a glass jar which was not travel-friendly and hygiene, I think. The reason Etude House changed the original packaging into a tube was because some batches in the glass jars would develop “grains” and it got lots of complains. Nevertheless, I think the jar one looks cute but it's inconvenient because you've got to use a spatula, right?

There are three shades available; Mint Choux for acne problem skin, Berry Choux for pale skin and Peach Choux for darker skin.

Etude House Color My Brows

I got my hair dyed, and I felt like it's kind of weird to have a black eyebrows (my natural hair color) with an ash brown hair colored. I did use a light brown brow kit from The Body Shop, but it still didn't cover my black eyebrows. I actually got my eyebrows bleached, but when the bleached hair starts to fade away, this eyebrow mascara or let's call it browcara always comes in handy. Therefore, I bought this in no. 4 Natural Brown which is the most matching color for me.

How I use it: After filling my eyebrows with an eyebrow pencil or kit, I brush two or three strokes the browcara to my eyebrows.

Price: IDR 75k

Good news, this browcara has five choice of colors to match your hair! A top make-up artist once said this, "Your hair color and eyebrows should not be a perfect match. A slight contrast is good." So, don't hesitate to try change your look even if you don't dye your hair. Because, it somehow can soften your look.

Etude House Woo Baby Plumping Tint

What I love about this plumping tint is the menthol cooling sensation once you applied to your lips. It has a silicon tip and plumping effect to volume up your lips. This plumping tint leaves a natural glossy looking.

How I use it: Adjust amount of contents on the tip, start applying from inside to outside of lips naturally to make gradation. Sometimes I use this after using lipstick or liptint too.

This product contains Menthol that stimulates blood circulation on lips for fuller look and Meadow Foam Seed Oil with Peppermint Oil to let you have healthier lips.

And, who else got so excited when watching the Running Man with CNBLUE episode? These guys... Really.. Looking more and more handsome than ever. I've loved YongHwa since We Got Married episodes of him with SeoHyun SNSD, he was too sweet, right? Then I like JongHyun because he's the most good looking member. I mean, look at his pimples OMG! Then I like MinHyuk because he's so adorable as ChanYoung in The Heirs. While JungShin, I don't know, he's too skinny, that's what I notice about him :P
But, when I see their newest MV for the 5th mini album. They are all super good looking! And GAH. Jung YongHwa, why are you so handsome? :O Your voice is killing meh~

Like A Star

So there's this Korean drama that I've been attached to for like 2 months!
It's My Love From Another Star or You Who Came From The Stars or 별에서 온 그대 or yeaah you name it. The drama currently airs every Wednesday & Thursday at 10PM (KST).

My first utmost reason to follow the drama! Couldn't resist his thick eyebrows and curled lips.

I've been a fan of Kim SooHyun oppa since his drama Dream High and The Moon Embraces The Sun. He's too charming as a human, so it's a fit perfect role as an alien this time, yes? I'm planning to attend his upcoming fan meeting with my chinggu :D

Wish me luck! I'm hoping for a seat just like when I attended JaeJoong's fan meet last November. I literally sat across from him ^^ *arrrghhh, dying!*

I've adored Jun JiHyun since I was in middle school, watching her movie My Sassy Girl. Gahhh! She's so adorable and pretty! I think she's the prettiest 30 something actress in South Korea. Well, if you haven't watched this drama yet, I suggest you to hurry watch it online!! It's the BEST 2013 K-drama, it's not that I didn't watch the other dramas in 2013, I do watch A LOT of Korean dramas that I feel my university and working life are pretty distractive because of it *sigh*.

Anyway, I'm going to show you my makeup inspired by the lead role, Cheon SongYi a.k.a the funniest lead role everrrr~!

Cheon SongYi always wears different lipstick in each episode, I can't tell exactly how many lipstick she has worn until the latest episode. But the most popular one is the YSL Rouge Pur Couture No. 52 Rosy Coral.

Here's the look that I created to achieve Cheon SongYi's natural beauty. Her skin is super healthy and milky. She doesn't use thick eyeshadow makeup nor a heavy eyeliner, her eyeshadow is a very natural color which mostly just a matte nude color. Overall, she enhances her looks at the lips and dewy face.

If you look closely to Cheon SongYi eyebrows, she doesn't do much with it. Although she has a light brown hair color, it seems like she doesn't bleach or use a brown shade eyebrow mascara. I'd love to do the same like her, but I recently got my eyebrows bleached...
For the eyeshadow, from the NAKED Basics, I'm using W.O.S & Naked2 at the lid, Crave at the upper waterline. Lastly, Foxy shade and Venus on the browbone.

For the lips:

• Oriflame Triple Core 3D Lipstick in coral pink
• Etude House Woo Baby Plumping Tint in pink

Here's how the lipstick looks like. It's messy 'cause I've used it a couple of times. 

It has 3 layers, that's why it's called Triple Core 3D, because its purpose is to give an illusion of fullness, shapeliness and amazing volume. It consists of an outer coral layer, white centre layer with shimmering particles and a lavender pink inner layer. What I dislike this lipstick is its shimmering particles that I found it's hard to remove the glitters even with makeup remover. *sigh*

I'm going to review my lip and hand care collection. I got both of these cutey as a birthday present. Well, the most appealing is the packaging. Cuteness overload *_*

Tony Moly Kiss Kiss Lip Scrub

The lip scrub featuring my Blythe, her name is Elise :D

 The texture. It is creamy and has a lot of brown scrub.

Product Info: UV control lip essence for anti-aging thin and vulnerable lip skin. Regular peeling with grain containing scrub makes soft lips without irritating to your skin.

Contains: Jojoba and macadamia oil butter, vegetable scrub, honey, ideal nutrient such as vitamin, protein, mineral, aromatic substance and amino acid.

Directions for use: Take suitable amount and massage your lips for 1~2 min with your finger. After peeling, cleanse your lips with water or tissue.

Review: Say bye-bye to chapped lips. It works like magic! Instead of rubbing your lips with bare hands that can risk you to a busted lips, I'd totally recommend you to use this lip scrub. Because it does what it promises, it doesn't irritate your skin and it moist your lips.

Tony Moly Peach Hand Cream

"Oh, hello Peach!", said Elise.

Love love the scent!

Blend it and voila~! Your hand will instantly smell so good.

Product Info: Anti-aging non sticky hand cream that helps to reduce your hand wrinkle with lovely peach fragrance.

Contains: Shea butter, apricot extract and peach extract.

Directions for use: Recommend use after washing your hands or when they are dry. Take adequate amount and apply from the back of the hand down to the nails for absorption.

Review:  I was never the one who took care of my hand, particularly. I'm glad that my besties gave me this, LOL. When I was interning, I used this a lot every working day as I put it on my office desk. My hands were really dry because of the AC. I really like the scent, it's so sweet, peachy, dreamy, fresh and it somehow boosts my mood! Not to mention, all of my coworkers that sit around my cubicle also like the scent. Thus, whenever I apply them to both of my hands, they can smell it, and sometimes they come to my desk and use it too :D It's very pleasant, isn't it? If people find the scent you're wearing is nice.

It's a song about two people falling in love, but they haven't confessed yet to each other. LOL. It's the cutest stage, yes? The music is so catchy that I love it the first time I hear it. It's an easy listening song that is suitable for accompanying you in traffic :P

S.M The Ballad: JongHyun (SHINee) x TaeYeon (SNSD) - Breath.

While the previous song is about falling in love, this one is about a couple who just broke up. S.M released three version of this song in Korean, Japanese, and Chinese. Well, I love the Korean version the most since TaeYeon sings it, the Japanese one is sung by Changmin (TVXQ) and Krystal f(x), I like Changmin voice, but Krystal... She looks super pretty in the MV tho'. While the Chinese version, well, I don't hate it.

Well, as an Indonesian, I know I should have used many local products. Too bad I honestly don't use local products that much. After joining an Indonesian forum, I realized that there are a lot of good local products but I was just too skeptical about them. It turns out that local products are just as good as the imported ones!

So now, I'll be reviewing Indonesian products that I've used lately regularly!

1. Bedak Saripohatji

The packaging is very simple and vintage (hell yeah since 1927!)

Well, if you understand Indonesian then you might find this instruction really funny.

Has anyone heard of this? It's one of my fave skincare products. It's a corn-grain shaped powder that helps to prevent and dry a zit. How do I use it: mix 2 - 3 grains with white rose water (you can find the white rose water at Century, Guardian or hypermarkets, I'm using the one from Mustika Ratu), then use them as a facial mask. Leave them for 3 hours, after that you just need to clean it with your bare hand, no wash needed. Do this every night and leave it naturally until morning. Another good thing about this product is the cheap price! I bought five of them for IDR 10k! Yup. Only one USD :D so cheap yet effective!

2. Mizzu Eyeliner Pen

I bought the brown color. They sell the black color as well.

The packaging comes perfectly fine with bubble wrap,
but I accidentally cut the packaging along the bubble wrap, that's why it looks messy.
As the ingredients, they are safe since it's registered to Indonesian FDA.

This eyeliner pen was such a phenomenon on Instagram, lots of public figure endorse it so I was curious ever since.

Even though I am not a newbie when it comes to eyeliners, I still find applying liners to my eye is somewhat difficult. LOL. Most of blogger's reviews about this eyeliners are it is an eyeliner for a newbie, but why do I find using a pen eyeliner is harder than the pencil or liquid ones? I don't know if it's only me or what. More practice needed, maybe?

Overall, the brown color turns out to be lighter than my usual liquid eyeliner which I almost never wear. I have these asian eyelids, although mine aren't monolids, but I feel like wearing eyeliners make my eyes appear smaller.

It's waterproof and it will still look okay as long as you don't rub it. Mine stays for 8 hours.

3. Mizzu Power Volume Mascara

They have a decent packaging, yes?

Mascara only come in black color, it is waterproof.

I like the wand.

For me wearing a mascara is a must, I curl my lashes first of course before coating my eyelashes. What I love about this mascara is the wand applicator, it won't make your eyelashes clumpy. I do apply 2 coats, though. Tip: make sure let it dry between coats. What I dislike about this mascara is the waterproof statement because it wasn't that waterproof. It'd probably work fine with people with curly lashes by nature, but not for me unfortunately *sighs*. Since it doesn't hold my curls, it was too time consuming for me to curl my lashes again.

4. Marcks' Beauty Powder

I bet most of Indonesians must've seen this product!

It has salicylic acid in it! Which a plus side for people who have acne prone skin like me :)

I got mine the creme shade, it has three shade: white, rose, and creme. I've been researching before buying this, the creme color apparently still looks too whitey for most Indonesian. However, it blends quickly with my CC cream. It has a weird fragrance at first but I think I slowly get used to it. The powder is a loose powder. I prefer applying this powder with brush. Besides it's affordable price, you can find this loose powder easily everywhere. Even at your nearest mini mart!

Price: IDR 13k (it doesn't come with powder puff nor a mirror)

Repurchase: YES

Daily Essentials

Hi, all my lovely readers! I'm back to share my daily essentials, which I find that these products really worth every penny, work like magic and I would deff re-purchase.

1. A must-have product for my face:

Avène Eau Thermale Spring Water

Price: IDR 230k per 330ml

Review: I do facial treatment every month and I have this sensitive skin. I've been using it since September 2013, and I'm glad I found it even if it's a wee late. Before using this, I was using Evian and Tony Moly, but none of them really sooth my skin. Evian was just refreshing, while TonyMoly was err, I bought it wrong so it kinda breaks me out. Nice smell, though. Review about TonyMoly can be read here. Despite the expensive price, this product does help me reduce redness post-chemical peeling and facial treatment and spray it every hour during those three crazy days (those who do facial treatment know exactly how crazy the facial skin is post chem-peel). For a daily routine, I spray it to my face before using toner and after applying makeup. I do advise to buy the largest bottle like mine, it saves more money. It comes in three sizes, 50ml, 150ml and 330ml. 

Etude House Wonder Pore Freshner

Price: IDR 288k per 150ml

Review: A friend of mine already told me how amazing this toner is, but I didn't believe it until I run out of toner and so I ended up buying this after reading a few good reviews about it. It only take 2 nights to make me realize how unbelievable smooth my skin is. The only downside about this product is the packaging, man! It'd better if it's a pump bottle, yes?

2. A must-have product for my hair:

The Body Shop Rainforest Radiance Detangling Spray

Price: IDR 129k per 250ml

Review: The product said it is a spray for colored hair, well I dyed my hair on October 2013, and my hair becomes dry, easily breaks and falls while shampoo-ing. It was really stressful because I had such a healthy hair back then (thumbs up for the confidence). Not to mention I do a lot of outdoor activities and I need something more than a shampoo and conditioner to protect my hair. It's like a leave-in conditioner with super amazing scent. I spray them after styling my hair.

Elianto Organic Olive Revitalising Serum

Price: RM 25 per 120ml

Review: The product comes in a tube with a gel-like serum. I apply them to my hair (not scalp) after washing my hair. The serum is to repair hair damage caused by regular hair perm and coloring. LOL. That's so me. I perm my hair regularly, have it dyed professionally every 3 months. It is a mineral oil free, synthetic color free with certified organic oil. I am using Elianto Organic Olive Shampoo too for scalp balancing. It's the only shampoo that I like more than Kérastase Bain Divalent that comes in so much cheaper price. Nuff said. I am sorry I couldn't give the IDR price. You can buy Elianto products in Centro Plaza Semanggi.
