G'day my dear bumblebees! So I'm back with circle lenses review again. I think I kind of get addicted with color contact lenses. Lately, I feel like something is missing when I'm not using them. So I was very happy when I received these two different sets from Loveshoppingholics.com. The first ones are from Vassen, and the other ones are from Geo Medical.

First things first, let me talk about the website. The website has lots of beauty products, from cosmetic lenses, makeup, skincare, nail product, hair product, even accessories. You can easily browse your desired cosmetic lens by brand, color or prescription.

Now, let's move on to the package! This is what I exactly received when it arrived at my home. First of all, the airmail was sent safely with bubble wrap. Second of all, they really packaged the lenses neatly and cutely in a tiny polkadot box. Third of all, I also got a very kind greeting card. Lastly, the lens cases are adorable. Here are the proofs:

This lens has 3 tone colors; black, gray, and orange. It doesn't have limbal ring, but as you can see at the pictures above, it's designed fully to the edges. So I think that's why when it's put on my eye, I can see my eyes look bigger. The design gives your eyes a sparkling look, quite unnatural if someone sees your eyes closely, but if you're looking for a dolly dramatic effect, you should give this a go.

Enlargement: 4 out of 5
Like I said, the design is fully to the edges of the lens so that's why it enlarges my eyes although it doesn't have a limbal ring. My eyes are relatively small, anyways.

Comfort: 2.5 out of 5

The material feels a bit harder than my usual one year lenses from Geo Medical. It's my first time trying out Vassen, so I was a bit surprised when I had this for the first time. Please note that I'm a regular monthly contact lens user. Besides, the base curve is 8.6mm. I think the base curve affects the comfort when it comes to yearly disposal lens. I had a hard time inserting the lens on my eye, I need to reapply it a couple of times because it hurts at the beginning. I can wear them for 5 until 7 hours with a couple of eyedrops at first application and after 3 hours.

Overall: I am pretty disappointed because I have comfort issues, my eyes are sensitive but I don't usually have hard times inserting contact lenses (been using lenses since high school, btw). Maybe my eyes are just picky?

Geo Eyescream

Just like an ice cream that melts, I find the design is very adorable. It gives my eyes a natural looking with 3 tone pattern that's not vibrant.

Enlargement: 4.5 out of 5

The enlargement effect is just perfect for my small eyes! It makes my eyes naturally bigger. 'Nuff said.

Comfort: 3.5 out of 5

I can easily insert this lens on my eyes and it feels softer than the Vassen one. It will dry my eyes after 3 hours and I need to apply eye drops. Perhaps, one of the reason is because of the water content. Still, it's not that bad for yearly disposal lenses.

Overall: Specifically for the design, I really love it! They are incredibly natural and I feel like I look more chio when I wear these lenses (HA, dat confidence!). I would probably try another pair in different color. They have other pretty colors in vanilla brown and chocolate! Oh, I wear these lenses on my previous post too.

Lens care tips: Treat your circle lenses gently, wash your hands before application, rinse & disinfect each time you remove them, and dispose them when they start to cause dryness. Even if this lens has yearly lifespan, I won't use it for one year, I'll probably dispose after six months usage. I write the first time usage date of each lens on the back of the lens case (with a sticker and marker of course). I always insert and remove my lens from the left eye too, it has become a habit for me so I won't mix up the left and right lenses. This is the great way to avoid eye infection.

Face Conditioning

YAY! A new product from Etude House that was launched in April 2014. I was so excited that I got this Etude House Face Conditioning Cream Light from Kbeautysecrets. It is a new improved formula from the previous Face Conditioning Cream and is more specialized for oily-combination skin. My skin is oily on the T-zone area and normal on the U-area. That's why I am very curious to try whether this product does what it claims or not.

Etude House Face Conditioning Cream Light SPF 25/PA++

Product description: A multifunction cream for natural makeup and skincare at one time. This is a quick and easy makeup boosting cream that smoothly conditions skin with its light and soft texture for a makeup-ready complexion.

Just like usual Korean products, this is the only English description I can found on the packaging yet very informative.

I am a person who prefers tube or pump packaging to the jar ones for the sake of hygiene. Therefore, I am glad this one doesn't come in jar. The tube's material feels so similar to toothpaste tubes, but thinner and more squeezable. Hopefully you get what I mean :P

What it promises:

• It supplies silky & light elasticity to the skin and forms soft but elastic layers.
• It improves adhesive texture to promote moist, radiant looking skin.
• It supplies moist on inner skin depending on skin condition.
• It absorbs too much sebum.
• Rich moisturizing texture that spreads softly on the skin and makes the skin look healthy & elastic since it is adhesive to the skin tightly.

The cream has white appearance but it becomes translucent once it's blended properly and absorbs to the skin. It only takes a couple of seconds to absorb fully, and it has a dewy finish that doesn't feel sticky, instead it feels so light, moisturizing and smooth! I like the fact that it controls my oily T-zone, my blotting paper doesn't look as terrible as usual. I use this before my Etude House CC Cream, btw.

Somewhat runny consistency.

Also another good point, it offers SPF 25 with physical ingredient, which is titanium dioxide (please read my post titled Sun Screen Protection to understand why I choose physical ingredient over the chemical one). It doesn't state how many percent is the active ingredient, though.

Directions: After skin care, apply an appropriate amount on the face and pat lightly. For better absorption, wrap over your face with your palms.

Oh, I wish you could tell how smooth it is only by judging the picture.

Basically, this cream acts as a primer for me, it's good at oil control, makes my skin smooth and gives the radiant looking. However, as it is a cosmetic that provides smooth application with such affordable price. I spot they are using silicones in their ingredient (let me just point out silica, as the other ones are too difficult to spell LOL). Do I hate silicone-based product? No, not really, but do I dislike? Well, I wish it didn't contain silicones because I am afraid it will clog my pores and break out my skin. So far, there's no such allergic reaction on my skin, no dryness, no slight irritation as well. I will update this post if something unpleasant happens in the future, but I hope nooot! xD

What I like:

• easy to blend and quick absorption
• moisturizing my skin without making it look shiny or feel sticky
• smooth finish that helps applying makeup so much easier
• controls excess sebum on oily skin yet hydrates the skin at the same time
• nice fragrance

What I dislike:

• contains silicones

Sakura Eyes

Anyong haseyo, my dear bumblebees! This is my first time reviewing circle lenses. I hope you'll find this useful and enjoy reading it!

I'm so pleased that Geocolouredlenses.com provided me these two adorable circle lenses from the well-known Korean brand Geo Medical. Mine are from the collection of Xtra Sakura in grey with prescription -2.75.

Now let's talk about the website first. I browsed around their site first to choose which one would fit my eyes the best. I was so captivated to see their huge collection of Geo Medical lenses! Super love it! FYI, Geo Medical is a safe Korean circle contact lens brand. It is the only USFDA (US Food and Drug Administration) approved circle contact lens brand and has also gained ISO and CE (Conformité Européenne) certification.

I have a natural very dark brown eye color, and usually I'll just play safe with the brown or grey lenses. So yeah, this time I'm still playing it safe, choosing a grey colored lens. The main reason why I chose Xtra Sakura Grey is because I was extremely intrigued by the limbal rings.

This lens has a really dark thick limbal rings, the black outer ring of the lens, and I mentioned it earlier that was why I chose this because I really like the design. These lenses actually really focus on the enlargement effect, as you can see it doesn't have vibrant pattern to make your eyes sparkle whatsoever. But I believe if you buy the other color, like let's say blue and you have naturally blue eyes. Whoa! That will look so gorgeous!

Enlargement: 4.5 out of 5
As I mentioned before, it has a really dark thick limbal rings, so that the enlargement effect is just great, especially if your eyes aren't as small as mine. I would give a perfect score if only my eyes look bigger naturally. I think my eyes are just too small *coughs* Therefore, the enlargement effect somehow looks too big on me. But, I don't look like a Chinese vampire, do I?

Comfort: 3.5 out of 5

Because this is a yearly disposable lens, so the comfort can't be compared with the monthly one! I am a regular monthly contact lens user and have dry eyes, so I do really realize the differences between them. It is not as comfortable as the monthly ones I regularly wear. However, for a yearly lens, this one is not bad! I wear these lenses for 9 hours with one single drop at each eye at first application and after like 5 hours usage.

Overall: It's an individual preference actually when you talk about the design. However, as I was only expecting for the enlargement effect and dolly looking from these lenses, I can say I am very content with the look. If only it's more comfortable to wear for dry eyes like mine.

Propolis For Acne

Hello, my bumblebees! It's been a hectic week because I've been working on my thesis *sigh* But now I'm back to review one of my current skin care routines.

We all know the good things about honey, don't we? Did you know what bees create to build their hives? Yes, propolis! It is material that bee mixes beeswax with various sap from trees and pollen from flowers. Basically, honey protects their live from the invasion of germs from outside by spreading propolis on entrance and inside of comb!

Humans use it as a natural or homeopathic treatment for a variety of medical situations. Test tube studies have found propolis to be active against a variety of micro-organisms, including bacteria and viruses. In a laboratory study published in 2006 in "Anaerobe," a team of Bulgarian researchers found that a propolis extract was active against most strains of anaerobic bacteria, including Propionibacterenum species (also known as P. acnes) the bacteria responsible for acne inflammation.

Mizon Acence Mark-X Blemish After Cream.

Let me talk about this popular skin care product in Korea. I knew this product from Sample Hime who commented on my Acne Fighting Routine post, she kindly suggested me this product after knowing that my main problem is about scarring. I was extremely fascinated with her review and decided to get the product no matter what! LOL!

It was really difficult for me to find this Acence Mark-X Blemish After Cream in Indonesia because Mizon is not sold here unless you buy it online! Online shopping is so convenient but also risky, you know fake stuff and so on. Although the sticker is there, we would never know if it's fake or original since a sticker is also easy to be copied. I was honestly afraid that I got the fake product as the packaging is a wee different regarding the promotional photo on their website. If you notice it really carefully, particularly the red seal on the right side is not wearing a red nurse hat. Well well, then I browsed for more and more, I found out there was also someone who complained the same thing. And here I finally have concluded, they probably has changed the packaging as the manufactured date's unlike the "red nurse hat seal", mine is 131113.

12 months is the recommended usage after you open the seal of the tube.

What it promises:

1. It is cream for an affected part that resolves complex skin troubles and controls darkish and rosy skin part after squeezing troubles by contained propolis and Centella Asiatica.
2. It helps the skin healthier as it strengthens up the ability to propagate and resolves complex skin problem by contained lots of propolis extract (12.5%).
3. It helps to improve darkish and irregular skin tone as it is certified in whitening function and it creates a clear skin by contained licorice extract that is effective for brightening.
4. It cools down the irritated skin by vegetable ingredients such as Coptis Japonica Root extract, Cordyceps Sinensis extract and protects the skin from formatting blemishes by external stimulus.
5. It completed dermatology test and minimized skin damage by applying skin-friendly system that is the most natural and safest for the skin.
6. It excludes ingredients that cause irritation such as paraben, artificial color, artificial scent, talc, mineral oil.
7. Blemish care solution Acnatural Formula – compotition pantent no. 10-0795513 that contains Rosmarinus acid that makes the skin healthier as it relaxes sensitive skin naturally.

Yellowish cream.

The texture is thick but if you dab it on your skin, it would become transparent when it's fully absorb. I use this technique in my morning skin care routine before applying makeup. Sometimes, I don't really dab it, I'd just pat and leave it that way until I wake up. It would leave a yellow mark when I wake up but hey, who cares? I've been cleansing my face with milk cleanser prior to washing my face lately, FYI.

Now talking about the scent (or smell to be exact) of the product. It doesn't smell like a usual acne ointment that I use. The smell was not pleasant, weird and all, but as I'm getting used to it, I don't even bother with the smell. As long as it gives a nice effect to my skin, I will suffer. HA! One plus thing, it doesn't sting at all.

(UPDATED ON JULY 5TH: It stings when you put this cream on a popped pimple, you know the one with blood. After understanding the real usage of this cream from Sample Hime, I started to try using the cream on the popped pimples. Sometimes, I'd just pop it intentionally when I don't usually do so that I could test this product LOL. But seriously, I don't recommend you to pop pimple, unless you're damn curious like me. It still leaves acne marks no matter what!)

You could tell I had such a high expectation to it. The result is not that visible, it's not that overnight miracle kind of product. I have acne scars that even chemical peeling couldn't make it totally disappear. I think it's still in an early stage to judge, but the result has satisfied me thus far for the red marks and I will continue using this cream on my scars after applying my morning or night cream. Just look forward to the updates, yes?

Caution: People who are allergic to bee products like honey or royal jelly should not use propolis, as this substance might cause an allergic reaction. Reactions have also been reported in people who are allergic to poplar and conifer trees. Women who are pregnant or nursing should also consult a physician before using propolis for acne.
