Hey you, my dear bumblebees! So, I've got this new hair serum that I am so in love..! If you have read my previous post, then you knew that recently I got my hair dyed again and that my hair is a bit damaged now.

First of all, I have to let you know I have a straight, dry, and frizzy hair. Second of all, I wash my hair every day. I have this greasy feeling if I let my hair unwashed. Even if I stay at home all day long, I still have to wash my hair. Because, basically we sweat, right? Lastly, I blow dry, straighten or curl my hair almost every day! I feel bad about it, but this frizz makes me had to do this.

Therefore, in order to get a silky hair, I'm getting this:

The Body Shop Grapeseed Glossing Serum

I could say I'm glad that I discovered this product! When I was just browsing around the shop, the BA told me that it is one of the best selling products. I tried the tester and put a little amount of it on the ends of my hair. I was shocked at first my hair instantly looked greasy. Totally not impressed, I ended up buying another thing from the store. But then, since I have a habit to touch my hair, guess what? When I touched my dry ends, it became so soft, smooth, silky, and shiny! Oh well, it turns out the serum worked like that because my hair was completely dry during the application, it took some time to absorb.

So I eventually purchased the product and I've found the perfect way to apply it on my hair. The trick is to apply it on towel dried hair from the middle until the ends of the hair. Don't use it on the roots! Take six pumps for mid back hair length like mine.

Look how glossy the serum gel is!

What I like:
  • controls frizz
  • gives instant shine and smoothness
  • untangles knots
  • smells lovely
  • natural ingredients
What I dislike:
  • a bit pricey as I need to pump a lot of amount for my thick hair
Who would love: Those with dry or frizzy hair.

Price: IDR 179k per 75ml

I suggest you to use this product with The Body Shop Rainforest Radiance Detangling Spray to give a complete care for outdoor activities.

Have you guys watched Divergent yet? Go watch it at the cinema if you haven't yet!
Or anyone here has finished reading the Divergent trilogy? I just purchased the e-book. Oh my....! Gosh! I have this huge crush on Theodore Peter James Kinnaird Taptiklis a.k.a Theo James who plays Four in the movie. I got my beating heart when I saw him. He's not just another British hawtie! Who can resist his sexy back, though?! It only took me one mili-second to realize how masculine he was. Throughout the movie, I literally couldn't take my eyes of him. Btw, I went to the cinema with my dad. So I was kind of ignoring him when he commented on some scenes. LOL!

  5. I like how reviewers often write 'pricey' on the con part of The Body Shop's products lol. I like their products but yeah they are a bit too pricey for--students. I'm currently using Lucido-L for my hair care, when I have more money let's check this on the counter! (just--trying out, who knows of I'll buy)

Wait what. OH I WON THE GIVEAWAY. So glad I checked my blog feed because my phone doesn't receive any push email notification at the moment!!! THANK YOU MICH <333 ...wow this luck is scaring me

HAHAHA yes. It's a bit pricey for us – student, and especially because I have a quite thick & long hair, not to mention the product is only 75ml!! I think I knew the Lucido-L, it has a hot pink packaging, rite?! Which one do you use? Next time I should try it!

    2. What 75ml Lucido-L has 200ml! Yesss, I'm using the hot pink one for normal hair! There's also one for damaged/colored hair. Before they produced them here, they used to be priced around 100k, now it's only 27.500 (gawds, I remember the exact price) it's sooo cheap!

  7. Great review! I actually use this product as well :) At first it made my hair feel oily, but it was because I applied too much. Now that I control the amount I put on, I'm loving it!

  17. But we are not suppose to wash our hair everyday.... If you keep doing that you will never fix the greasy-ness... I used to wash mine everyday too, but I trained it and noww I can go 2-3 days without washing it! And I do not use any heat on my hair anymore. even hair dryer. I do hope that you will consider elongate the time frame of your hair wash.

My hair is frizzy too... I use overnight wet set pin curls on my hair to achieve curls (completely heat free)

I do need this serum girl thank you so much for sharing, please do not curl your hair everydayyy

Sorry for commenting too much but I hope that you will consider my inputs

  20. Firstly, thanks for finding my blog and taking the time to comment. My hair sounds exactly the same as yours. I have to wash it every single day because otherwise it gets greasy and I can't do anything for the whole day, even if I'm not leaving the house. And everyone I know/all the experts say that that is totally destructive for your hair. I hate the idea of dry shampoo because I have seen a looot of fails with it (helloooo grey nannies) but this serum sounds perfect. I have recently found a Body Shop favourite recently, which is very rare for me because I am not usually a fan of their stuff, and there'll be a review of that up on my blog soon so you might be interested. Anyway, hope you're having a lovely day. Rosemary
